Brynn's 2nd Trip To Urgent Care

We ended up taking Brynn to Urgent Care Saturday afternoon. She woke up that morning with flushed cheeks, runny nose, and a temperature. I was just going to watch her on Saturday and then she how she was on Sunday, but she woke up from her nap that afternoon with green nasal drainage, so we took her to Urgent Care. She ended up having an ear infection. I was really priding myself for my kids not having any ear infections yet. I guess making it to 8 months is pretty good anyway. She has been pretty fussy this weekend, but her fever is gone. She got her 4th tooth on Saturday! Both of the twins have been using their voices a lot lately! I keep trying to get Brynn to say "Mama" and "Dada", but all she wants to say is "Bob, Bob, Bob." So Bob, if you're reading this, Brynn has something to say to you! Brody has been screaming a lot! He screams for so long sometimes that he starts coughing. We are surpised he is not hoarse yet:) He did however say "no" on Saturday, which made us laugh because we have told him "no" about a hundred times this weekend for trying to pull the cable cord from the outlet, from trying to play with the plant leaves, from ramming Brynn in the head with his walker. The list goes on and on:) He is crawling all over the place and getting into everything! He is also trying to pull himself to stand now too. Brynn is starting to scoot more. We have quickly realized that the "fun" is really going to start once Brynn gets mobile too:)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We took Bryan out to Arthur Bryant's today for lunch. It was very good and the portions were huge! We also celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary this week! Our anniversary was actually on Thursday, but we decided to celebrate yesterday. We went to see the movie, The Hangover. It was hilarious! Then we went to some clubs downtown. We had a really good time and enjoyed getting away for the night. Thank you Grandma Madden and Mia for watching the kids. The twins are doing good and are developing quite the personalities. Brody started crawling this weekend! We're not for sure if he actually realizes that he can crawl though. I'm sure it won't be long before he really takes off! Brynn got her first upper tooth today! That makes 3 teeth for her now. Brody sure likes to climb all over her when they are on the floor together. She sure gets annoyed with him sometimes, especially when he pins her down. I'm sure it won't be long before she bites him!

Update

A quick update on everything...we have received an offer on our house, but are waiting to see if our mortgage company will accept the offer. We probably won't know anything until the middle of July. Keep the prayers coming that they accept the offer! I am continuing to work at KU and at Mercy, as of now. It is quite the struggle to juggle life in general, so we will see. Bryan has been busy at his job and pulling in some long days. Hopefully, he continues to stay busy! The twins are starting to want to stand and walk with us holding their hands. Bryan and I continue to enjoy them holding their own bottles, however I am missing that cuddle time during feedings. Brynn will still let me hold her and cuddle, but Brody just squirms to get away when you try to hold him. He has too much to do to sit still! I am realizing how fast the time is going, so I really cherious those cuddle moments. They still aren't crawling and we think they will probably walk before they crawl! They are eating more and more table food everyday. Brynn is a lot more picky than Brody. They have been getting upset when one gets a bottle and the other doesn't and they take bottles away from each other, so we have been giving them bottles at the same time whether they are actually hungry or not. That seems to keep everyone happy and everyone fed:)

Hanging Out

We have all been sick this week. The twins have had really bad runny noses and I'm afraid poor Brody is going to have allergies. However, the colds don't seem to slow them down a bit! They are getting more and more ornery everyday! They have started taking toys away from each other and grabbing things off the coffee table. Between Truman and the twins, we can't leave any food unwatched on the coffee table! Bryan and I are also very happy to say that they are starting to hold their own bottles!

7 Months Old!

The twins turned 7 months old yesterday! I know I say this every month, but it just amazes me at how fast time goes! We officially put the house on the market Thursday. Today, we went to the park while they were showing our house. We had a really nice picnic and enjoyed hanging out under the shade tree. However, about 10 minutes after we left the park, Brody started coughing and having trouble breathing. We noticed that the area around his eyes were blue and he had a rash on his neck and chest. We immediately went to Target and got him some Benadryl. Benadryl did the trick and after a good nap, he woke up acting just fine. Whatever it was that caused his allergic reaction, it sure scared us all! A HUGE thank you to Grandma Farnan for everything you did for us last week! We appreciate you more than you'll ever know! (Keep the prayers coming that our house sells quickly!)

Memorial Day

We have been busy, or maybe I should say Bryan, has been busy trying to get the house ready to put on the market. Please say a prayer that it sells quickly! The twins have been very fussy lately from teething. Brynn got her second bottom tooth on Saturday! She is starting to take an interest in crawling, but hasn't quite figured out that she needs to get that big belly off the ground:) She also has become very interested in whatever we are eating and thinks she needs to try a bite of everything. She can get to us in a hurry in her walker to get a bite! She continues to talk a lot, especially in the car and loves Truman so much. Her face just lights up when she gets near him! Still no teeth for Brody:( That boy definitely needs some teeth because he is always ready to eat! He doesn't care if it is baby food or our food, he will eat it! We joke that he is our "little garbage disposal." He has taken a slight detour from crawling because he has realized he can sit up from laying on his belly. Bryan found him this morning sitting up in the corner of his crib. He is constantly on the move and it is never in one place for too long! He is really squealing a lot too when he gets excited!
Our thoughts and prayers to all of our family members and other loved ones that have passed away that have made a lasting impression on our lives, especially Grandpa Farnan. Dad, I wish you were here to enjoy our "little miracles" as much as we do. I think I would have made you real proud!

Congratulations Clint!

Wow, what a busy four days we have had! On Friday night, we went to our nephew Clint's graduation party. Congratulations Clint! It was really good to see everyone. There were people there that I bet I haven't seen in over 10 years! On Saturday, we did the Crawl for Cancer. We had a lot of fun! Yesterday, I took the twins to get their 6 month pictures taken. They did pretty well. Brody was his usual goofball self. Brynn did well for the first hour, then that was it. Hopefully, we get some cute pictures! Last night, Bryan and I took the twins to the Infant Massage Class through Parents as Teachers. Our children were definitely the center of attention! Brynn jabbered a lot through the class. She was a pretty good participant, however she would have preferred to eat her feet than get a massage:) Brody could have really cared less about the whole thing! He was too busy trying to crawl and make noise to get a massage:) I really wish we could have attended the class when they were 2-4 months old because I think they really could have benefited from it, especially Brody when he was having constipation problems. Thankfully, there's not a whole lot going on the rest of the week. Hopefully, the weather will stay nice and we can get outside a lot this week!
