Louisiana Vacation- Part 1

Last month, Bryan had some training to go to for work in Louisiana. So, the kids and I decided to tag a long and make a mini vacation out of it. We stayed in a suburb of New Orleans, so everyday when Bryan went to school, we would drive to New Orleans and explore the city. Driving across Lake Pontchartrain amazed me everyday. That lake is ginormous and it's lake as far as your eyes can see. I was pretty proud of myself for driving all around New Orleans and going places all by myself with the kids. We had a lot of fun! We went to the Audubon Zoo and Cool Zoo, the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, the Louisiana Children's Museum, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas,  saw Great White Shark 3D at the Imax, and went on a Cajun Pride Swamp Tour. We enjoyed everything we did, but I think going on the swamp tour was the highlight of our trip. We saw a lot of alligators and B and B got to feed them marshmallows. They even got to hold an alligator! I don't think I will ever forget that swamp tour. Our tour guide was awesome and told us a lot about Frenier/New Orleans history. We had a great mini vacation! Hopefully, we will get to go back again!
