Louisiana Vacation- Part 1

Last month, Bryan had some training to go to for work in Louisiana. So, the kids and I decided to tag a long and make a mini vacation out of it. We stayed in a suburb of New Orleans, so everyday when Bryan went to school, we would drive to New Orleans and explore the city. Driving across Lake Pontchartrain amazed me everyday. That lake is ginormous and it's lake as far as your eyes can see. I was pretty proud of myself for driving all around New Orleans and going places all by myself with the kids. We had a lot of fun! We went to the Audubon Zoo and Cool Zoo, the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, the Louisiana Children's Museum, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas,  saw Great White Shark 3D at the Imax, and went on a Cajun Pride Swamp Tour. We enjoyed everything we did, but I think going on the swamp tour was the highlight of our trip. We saw a lot of alligators and B and B got to feed them marshmallows. They even got to hold an alligator! I don't think I will ever forget that swamp tour. Our tour guide was awesome and told us a lot about Frenier/New Orleans history. We had a great mini vacation! Hopefully, we will get to go back again!

Pre-K Graduation

B and B have graduated Pre-K from Appletree Academy! They had a really nice graduation ceremony. They played a video of the graduates with pictures taken throughout the year that was really neat. I am so happy to have a copy to remember this fun time. Brody didn't behave very well during graduation and got his flag taken away by the director before he even got to sing the song the flag was for. He really didn't sing any of the songs and couldn't stop moving around and even got moved to a different spot:( Brynn did great as usual! They are very excited to start Kindergarten, especially Brynn. She has asked me numerous times when Kindergarten is going to start:) The director told me later that in her 26 years of doing this that she has never had a student lose a tooth at graduation before Brynn. I'm so proud of them and how much they have learned this year!
