1st Grade

B and B started 1st grade last week! They were so excited to go back to school and see everyone! They have 5 1st grade classes this year with 20 students in each class. Brody's teacher is Mrs. Mcanulty and Brynn's teacher is Mrs. Lerno. Brody had Mrs. Lerno for Kindergarten last year. She moved up to teach 1st grade since they needed 2 additional teachers this year for their grade (Mrs. Devine moved down also from 2nd grade this year).

First Football Practice

Brody had his first flag football practice (practicing drills) yesterday at LSNHS. He said that he liked it, but his feet were hurting so bad. I took off his new cleats and he had blisters on both heels:( This week, he starts practices with his team twice a week along with soccer practice on Fridays. He already eats all the time, so I can't even imagine the amount of food he's going to start eating with all these practices!

Swim Lessons

B and B took swim lessons over the last two weeks at the MAC. They started out at a Level 1 and their class tested out to a Level 2 on the first day. Since there were so many kids moved up to Level 2, they formed another class. There ended up only being 1 other kid with them in their new class, so they practically got private lessons. They learned a lot and I think it really improved their skills. They both passed Level 2, although there are a few things they need to work on, especially Brody. I think he needs to work on his "listening skills" the most:)

4th of July (2015)

We had a nice 4th of July this year. On Thursday night, we went to the St. Margaret's cookout and watched the Legacy Park fireworks display with our old neighbors, Chris, Leeann, and Sophia. On Saturday, we went to the Raintree parade and carnival. Then we had a picnic at Harris Park and went to Summit Waves. That evening, we went to Chris and Leeann's house and grilled out and lit fireworks. We went to the Raintree fireworks display that night. Brody had a lot of fun lighting off fireworks for hours (he didn't even want to take time out to eat). Brynn spent most of her time playing with Sophia and all the other babies inside. We spent the night in a hotel in Lee's Summit and left for vacation to Branson the next morning.
