Bike Riding

 

Pre-K

B and B started Pre-K last week at Appletree Academy. We really didn't talk a lot about going to school or a lot about how this was a different school than they had attended the last two years. I realized we should have talked about it more when Brynn and I had this conversation:

 

The day before school, Brynn asked me who was going to help her down from the wagon. Completely confused, I asked her what she was talking about. She said she wanted to know who was going to help her down from the wagon when they go see the apple trees. I told her that Appletree was the name of her new pre-school and that they weren't actually going to go see apple trees. Still wondering about the wagon, I asked her about it. She told me that when Caillou went to see the apple trees, he rode on a wagon:)

After school, they both told me that they liked Pre-K. Brynn even came out of school holding hands with another girl in her class:) Their teacher, Mrs. Gallo, called that afternoon to see what they had thought/said about school. She told me that they had a good day and that she wanted me to know that she thought Brynn was very artistic and that she had asked for extra time to work on her picture in class. I was very impressed that she called to check on them. I am so happy that they like their new school and teacher, however I'm a little sad knowing this is my last year having them home with me:(

 

 

                                                  

Soccer Saturday

B and B had their first soccer games yesterday! LSSA has the U5 teams divide up into two teams for games; the "aggressive" and "non-aggressive". B and B were both on the "aggressive" teams:) They did great and had a lot of fun!

Subdivision Pool

We have spent a lot of time at the pool this summer. B and B are becoming good 'lil swimmers too! Brody is pretty daring in the water and is eager to learn things. Most of the time, Brynn is too busy socializing with other little girls to be bothered with being taught things:) We have a lot of fun at the pool and it is definitely one of my favorite things about our new subdivision!

4th of July

We had a relaxing 4th of July at home this year. G-ma and John came to stay with us for a few days. We lit fireworks off at our house and played at the pool. We went to Legacy Park to watch their firework show and to our subdivison's firework show. However, there were so many people lighting off fireworks over the Lake that we didn't realize we didn't even see the actual subdivision show. Brody and John had a lot of fun lighting fireworks. Brody would have lit some in his hand and then thrown them if I would have let him. Brynn wasn't as scared as she was last year and did a lot better. She wanted to light fireworks, but as soon as the fuse would light and a couple sparks would fly, she would get scared, drop her punk and run away. She would light them if I would go with her. As usual, Truman was not a fan of the fireworks, but was curious about a few!
