Stockton Lake

Last week, we spent a few days at Bryan's parent's lake house at Stockton Lake. We took B and B to the beach area at the lake to let them play and swim. Brody walked right into the lake and when the water got up to about his chest, he stumbled and went under a little. It scared him, which was probably a good thing. Brynn was more interested in finding other little girls to play with on the beach than playing in the water:) Bryan took them both out in fairly deep water and they seemed to like it after they got used to it. However, as soon as they both saw "Nemo"(minnows) swimming in the water, they were pretty much done with going in the lake:( We had a great time getting away and hope to be going back again next month!

Last Thursday, we took B and B to Worlds of Fun with Grandma Farnan and John. Brody loved the rides, especially the "Kite Eating Tree" and the "Scrambler". He smiled and laughed a lot on those rides! It seemed the wilder the rides were, the more he liked them! He would ride anything we wanted him to:) Brynn refused to ride some of the rides at first, but she warmed up to the idea after Mommy and Grandma rode a few rides with her. She seemed to prefer riding with us rather than riding by herself or with Brody. Her favorite rides were the "Kite Eating Tree" (she actually smiled and laughed) and the "Viking Voyager" (the only ride she asked to ride again). She definitely doesn't like rides that go in circles:( Hopefully, we will be able to take them back again this summer!

They Said What?

B and B have been saying some of the cutest and funniest things! Brynn seems to talk nonstop these days and is starting to ask a lot of questions, repeatedly. Sometimes she will ask me the same question 8 times in a row and starts asking me the same question again before I am done answering. If either one of them say something and we don't answer or acknowledge what they are saying, then they will start screaming it until we answer. I love that Brynn loves to talk, but I am also very thankful that Brody is not quite the "chatter box" that she is. Here are a few of the unforgetable things they have said:

Brynn-"Mommy, I want a ding dong like Daddy and Brody"
"G-ma, are you getting pissed off?"

Brody-"Brynn, stop being a brat!"
"Mommy, Truman bit me on my abow" (fyi, Truman did not bite him on his elbow)

Backyard Water Fun!

Today, Aunt Mandy, Olivia, and Tavia came over to hang out. We set up the kiddie pool and water beach ball in the backyard and filled around 400 water balloons. We all had so much fun having water wars in the backyard!
