Elite 8!

Congratulations to the MU Tigers! What an exciting season! Hopefully, they make it to the Final Four because Bryan and I said if they make it that far, then we are heading to Detroit! The twins are doing well. They are continuing to do better with their baby food, except for the green veggies. Brody continues to be a happy little boy with his infectious giggle! He is starting to really focus on his toys and is getting quite strong. He is also getting really hard to keep a hold of, especially when he arches his back. He is not rolling much, but does really well with his tummy time. Brynn continues to be our sweet and very observant little girl. I think she looks more and more like her Daddy every day! She is rolling a lot and often wakes herself up from rolling over. She is starting to want to stand more and likes to play with her feet a lot. (poor Brody is too stout to get his feet to his mouth:) We are really looking forward to coming home for Easter and seeing everyone! M-I-Z!

MIZZOU-RAH! TIGERS #1!

GO MIZZOU! BIG 12 TOURNEY CHAMPS! We have had so much fun watching the Tigers play this week and NOT watching the Jayhawks play! We wish we would have went to Oklahoma City to watch the game. Hopefully, we can watch them play at the NCAA tourney. We have had a really fast week. Mom and I went to the JBF consignment sale Wednesday and got a lot of new clothes for the twins. I am totally becoming a "consignment sale junkie!" Bryan and I had a really fun day going to the auto show today and eating at Famous Dave's BBQ. As usual, we got a lot of comments on the twins. We actually ran into someone who had triplet boys there! God bless them! I can't even imagine! Hope everyone has a good week!

A Lot of New "Firsts"

We hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a good weekend, but it went too fast with the time change. We are still adjusting! On Saturday, Mom and I went to the Kids Closet consignment sale. We got some really good deals on some cute summer clothes for the twins. We also went to the mall, but we really didn't find much there. The twins started baby food last week. They both were not for sure what to think of their green beans and each had their "dry heaving" moments. Brody is doing really good now and has been eating his veggies well. We are not for sure if he really likes them or if he just likes to eat! As for Brynn, she still does not really like her veggies. Hopefully, she will do better with the fruit. Also, they both have started rolling over. Mom woke me the other morning to see Brynn laying on her back playing with her feet in her crib. She woke herself up when she rolled over. Brody rolled over this weekend during tummy time. We are not for sure if he really knew what he did or not. They both are becoming very mobile! (Brynn's swollen lymph node is gone!)

4 Month Appointment

Yesterday, was the twins 4 month check-up. Brynn weighed 15lbs. (75%) and was 25in. (75%) long. Brody weighed 15lbs. (75%) and was 24.5in (25%) long. They both cried hard with their shots. Poor babies got 3 shots each. Once again, Brody sucked down the rotavirus vaccine. Brynn was not so sure about the vaccine, but she took it well also. As for the lump, Dr. Gilmer thinks it is just a swollen lymph node. Long story short, it may take several weeks to go away or if it gets any bigger or begins to bother her, they will sonogram it and possibly drain it. For now, we will continue on the antibiotic and monitor it. We used our new stroller for our outing (we bought our neighbors'-they only used it a couple times) and I loved it. We got a lot of compliments on it too. It was so nice not to haul around car seats!

Brynn's Trip To Urgent Care

Brynn woke up this morning with a big lump below her left ear. I took her to Children's Mercy South Urgent Care. Fortunately, she got seen by a doctor that I used to work with on Pediatrics. She got lab work done (poor baby got stuck twice) and it came back within normal limits. We are waiting to see the results of her blood cultures (48-72 hours). They started her on an antibiotic anyway, eventhough they think it may be viral and not bacterial. We are going to follow up with our primary doctor on Tuesday at their 4 month appt. I am still very concerned that this "lump" could be something very serious. I am praying that the antibiotic works and it disappears. Being a pediatric nurse, I know way too much about this stuff and have decided that sometimes "ignorance is bliss." Please, pray for my little girl that this goes away with her antibiotic. As for Brody, he continues to be a happy boy with lots of smiles and giggles. He is quite the goof ball! Brynn finally giggled for the first time at Grandma Farnan last Thursday. It was too cute!
