3 Months Old!
The twins will be 3 months old on Friday! People have been asking me how much they weigh and I would guess around 13 lbs. They don't have another check-up until 4 months old. They are doing a lot better sleeping at night and only get up once around 5-6am and then they go back down for a few hours. We are still working on Brody going to sleep at night. He tends to fall asleep in our arms and then when we lay him down, he wakes up again. I have started putting him to bed at 9:30 and letting him put himself to sleep. He is starting to get the routine and is not fighting it as bad as he did. He continues to want to stand a lot and likes to imitate our facial expressions. He has the most adorable giggle ever! The funniest thing about it is he tends to giggle at the appropriate times. Bryan and I often look at each other and wonder "did he really just understand what we said?" Brynn continues to be our sweet little girl with her adorable dimples. She is starting to like to stand more and more. We have noticed that she is very observant of what is going on around her. She is starting to make "strange" and knows when it is not Mommy or Daddy holding her. People have commented that she seems to be "looking out" for her brother. We have also noticed her talking to Brody when he is crying as if to say "shut up, Brody." We get a kick out of that! They are starting to drool a lot, especially Brody with his "blowing raspberries." I bet they get teeth by the time they are 4 months old. Bryan and I are really looking forward to warmer weather so they can get outside more. Truman is ready for warmer weather too. We think he is ready to drop his 20 lb. fur coat he acquired over the winter!

First work week is over!
Well, the week I was have been dreading my whole pregnancy leave has came and went! Surprisingly though, the week went really quick and going back to work wasn't as terrible as I had imagined it to be. I guess I realized that this is the way it has to be, so I might as well get over it. I did get a scary realization this weekend at how fast time is really going to go now that I am working full time. I told Bryan tonight that I don't feel like I have time to do all the stuff that needs to get done.
We had a pretty low key weekend hanging out around the house. I did manage to get a little shopping in this weekend with Grandma Farnan and John. Thanks again, John, for Brynn's new outfit. I can't wait for her to get to wear it! We sure are enjoying this warmer weather! Brynn got to go outside today and help Daddy wash the Outlook. It has been a little while since the twins have gotten to go outside and she really seemed to enjoy it! Hopefully, the weather will stay nice and we can take them out more.
We want to give a special thank you to RL and Jess for the baby clothes and bottle of wine. We appreciate your thoughtfulness very much! Brody is already getting good use out of a lot of the clothes:)

A few funny pics!
Here's a few funny pics of the twins. The first picture is of Brody in our bed today. He is always so happy when he wakes up in the morning! The third picture is how I found Brody sleeping in his crib the other morning. We are amazed that he was able to wiggle out from under all those blankets and that he scooted that far! The last picture is of Brynn after she sneezed while eating her cereal this morning. She doesn't like rice cereal as much as Brody, but she is starting to like it more and more. We started them on oatmeal tonight and it was a big hit! Brody can really pack the cereal away. I can tell already that he is going to have Bryan's appetite. He likes food and a lot of it!

My last week off from work:(
Sadly, this is my last week off from work. My first day back is next Tuesday. I always thought I wanted to be one of those women who had a career and was a mom, but now all I want to do is stay home with my babies. I guess it could be worse, I could be working 5 days a week instead of 3. The twins continue to change so much! Brody is quite strong and likes to stand in your lap instead of sit. He also does really well holding his head up. It won't be too long before he will be hard to keep a hold of. Brynn doesn't have quite as good head control as Brody, but we are working on that. She loves to lay under the activity mats and bat at the toys. She definitely takes more interest in the musical toys than Brody. She also likes to be in her bouncy seat on the kitchen counter and watch us cook and clean. They both definitely like to be where the action is!
